"Zombie Finger" Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 medium eggs (separated)
  • 250 grams marzipan
  • 60 grams icing sugar
  • 30 grams plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 11 whole almonds (split down the middle)
  • 1 tablespoon cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Whisk together the egg white, marzipan, powdered sugar, flour and baking powder until smooth.
  2. With damp hands, mold 20 finger shapes and place on a lined baking sheet. Press an almond half at one end as a finger nail. Whisk together the egg yolk and cream, brush over the fingers and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
