I’ve made this casserole for years. We use ground turkey instead of beef, and the recipe doesn’t make enough sauce. I make a recipe and a half, and in a pinch, use spaghetti sauce. This gets rave reviews every time. And great for those gluten intolerant folks.

I'm excited to taste the finished product! I did incorporate italian basil and shitake mushrooms because of the texture and flavor that the mushrooms would give it. Will see in the end ...fingers crossed!!!!

This was so delicious. I added lots of red pepper flakes and broiled zucchini a couple minutes on each side instead of using the grill. It came out perfect; both me and the hubby loved it!

SO DELICIOUS. I'm not the biggest fan of zucchini, but in this recipe it substitutes the noodles so seamlessly. I put the zucchini strips on my mini- George Forman grill, 3 at a time and it turned out exactly how I hoped!

Awesome! I baked the zucchini on a cookie pan with a brush of oil instead of grilling (I did that in 10 min stages as the sauce cooked, since I used a lot of zucchini slices). Turns out super delicious!

This was delicious! I modified the recipe only slightly by adding ~ 1/2 tbsp of dried oregano and a ~ 1 tbsp of sugar. I will definitely make this again!
