Ready in just under 20 minutes this American dish can be enjoyed as an appetizer. After using the vegetable peeler, fry the Yuca until it is crispy. Add salt to add flavor.
- 1 yuca
- vegetable oil
- dried oregano
- Peel half the yuca.
- Run a vegetable peeler down the yuca to make the chips.
- Fry in plenty of hot oil. When each chip stops spattering, it is done.
- Remove to a plate covered in paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with oregano and salt to taste.

If you are trying to diet, you simply must try these yucca chips. Most stores have the yucca plant, but you will have to do a bit of digging. These are so good for you and rich in flavor. I just had to lightly salt them to eat them. I pan fried mine in olive oil, this seemed to add to the health benefits of the mixture. The next time I make them, I am going to sprinkle some ranch powder on them to see what that tastes like.
