These White Chocolate Champagne Truffles just might be the star of any New Year’s Eve party. If you are looking to start the party off with a bang, then try these tasty morsels. They combine white chocolate with lemon juice, butter, powdered sugar, champagne and crackers to offer a crunchy, sweet and savory treat in bite-size pieces. Top them with grated white chocolate and more powdered sugar and watch them disappear from the tray.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams white chocolate
  • 40 grams butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 40 grams powdered sugar
  • 50 milliliters champagne
  • 60 grams crackers (champagne, crushed)
  • 50 grams white chocolate (grated)
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Begin by melting the white chocolate in a saucepan.
  2. Add the butter, lemon juice, sugar and champagne.
  3. Finally add the crushed biscuits until you get a thick, moldable mixture.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  5. Cover it with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator or freezer.
  6. Shape 20 equal sized balls and roll them in the grated white chocolate and powdered sugar.
  7. Place the balls in small paper cups and refrigerate them until it is time to serve.

These truffles were so good. I ended up with more than 20, so I must have made mine a little smaller than the recipe wanted. They were still a good 2 bite dessert. And they are so pretty, they are just perfect for a party or special after dinner treat.
