Cut out a round circle of wax paper to put on a pretty plate before you set the cake on it. Then, after frosting the cake, carefully coat the sides with a combination of coconut flakes, almond slivers and chopped dried pineapple bits. This will give it a "Hawaiian" cake taste that is amazing. Let the cake get chilled in the refrigerator before it is served to make it easier to cut in to neatly.
