OMG! Soon delicious. I even ate it cold! I just added a little garlic and garlic salt. Really grated onion super fine. Will continue to make and eat for one meal per day.

I used a cabbage that was very large, I had to add another cup of water. Turned out great, will make again.

It turned out great !! I boiled a whole chicken before and used that broth to cook the veggies in and attached some gourmet veggie stock

I enjoyed this soup, I’m recovering from a surgery and due to the very restricted diet I need to follow, this recipe was exacly what I was looking for.

I made this for dinner last night, it turned out great. It had amazing flavor. I added a little salt & pepper while cooking & substituted carrots for the tomatoes. I haven't had this since I was kid & my mom would make it.

I am not huge on cooking but this wasnt bad at all. There was a lot of chopping but if one eats a lot of veggies, one is used to it. The larger the head of cabbage, the more cutting one has to do. I forgot to add the tomatoes, but I like it without them. I used Braggs all purpose seasoning to flavor it. I am not a fan of a whole lot of spices so this was fine for me. I may decide to make again at some point. Update: this has become a part of my weekly meals. I eat it daily for lunch. So easy now to prepare. Love it!!
The blogger warned it’d be bland and it’s more of a base soup but even after adding a good bit of seasoning it’s just not a very appetizing soup and a lot of chopping (but again, there’s a fair warning on that as well.

Maybe it was the wide pot that I used but I had to add a lot more water to mine. It was very good though!

It was surprisingly pretty good! I did skew away from the base recipe slightly by using 4 cups of water and 3 cups of beef broth. I also added pepper and some salsa I had. I could see it being a bland soup if you don't season it to your liking though.

Delicious! I did add some fresh thyme and black pepper and about a cup of chicken broth.
I find the onion smell was a bit strong but over all it was edible
Love this, I first saw a version of it many years ago as The Sacred Heart hospital weight loss soup. I love veg soup, great tasty low cal tummy filler you can eat it all day long, great fibre intake feeding those healthy gut bacteria so yes you can get a bit windy, it’s cheap it make, best thing It’s Yummy. Jazz up the flavour so you don’t get board, chilli, worcestershire sauce, live miso, add a little to your bowl so next bowl is different. A can of crushed tomatoes works if you have it instead of fresh, add some garlic, or any low cal ‘water veg’, also adding some bone broth gives you a boost too. It’s a great base recipe you can change up to suit your tastes while still getting the benefit of low cal high fibre. I’m glad I came across this again, definitely making this soup up today to help me cut back on calories while still getting fibre in, too many Easter eggs and afternoon snacks catching up with me.
