The smell of sweet chocolate will fill your house when you make these little delights. They practically melt in your mouth when you eat them fresh from the oven. A sprinkling of powdered sugar adds just the right hint of extra sweetness. Perfect for dipping in hot drinks on cold days.

Ingredients

  • 115 grams butter (melted)
  • 50 grams brown sugar
  • 15 grams cocoa powder
  • 125 grams flour (sifted)
  • 100 grams chocolate (melted)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the melted butter with the brown sugar.
  3. Once the mixture has lightened in color, add the cocoa powder and the sifted flour.
  4. Knead the batter 15 minutes either by hand or with a beater attachment.
  5. Roll the dough out to 1-centimeter thickness and cut 2 1/2-centimeter-long rectangle-shaped cookies.
  6. Score the tops of the cookies with a fork or ravioli cutter.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
  8. Once the cookies have completely cooled, dip both ends in the melted chocolate and refrigerate.

I have never tried to make a recipe quite like this one before but I am so glad that I did. These cookies were extra chocolatey and they were slightly chewy. They taste even better when they are nice and warm. I plan to make this recipe all the time and would give it 5 stars.
