Taste can be a bit bland. But immediately improves if you double the cherry tomatoes.

Added a chopped white onion and a small tin of sweetcorn, otherwise followed the recipe as is. Delicious - would definitely make again!

Increeeedible! This was way better than I was expecting, but we made a few modifications... We didn’t have brown rice, so we used jasmine rice. To make it lower carb, we used less rice and put the bean / rice / veggie mix over lettuce and also topped with sour cream. We also didn’t have whole black beans (currently in Tel Aviv, and beans are a commodity here) so we used black refried beans. It made the mix a bit mushier, but was still delicious nonetheless! This one will definitely be added to the regular rotation.

This is a really good basic recipe. The only reason why I am giving this 3/5 stars is because this can so easily be improved! I used white rice and olive oil because it was what I had, didn't include the cherry tomatoes (because I don't like them very much) or the coriander (because I didn't have any), used cumin instead of paprika and added a few dashes of hot sauce, added a can of corn in with the can of black beans, used "taco mix" cheese, and added salsa, sour cream, and lime juice to the finished product. I feel like the spring/green onion, garlic, bell pepper, and rice bowl is a really good base for other things too!

The flavor is really good. I ended up making it with refried black beans since that’s all I had at home, and then topped it with sour cream and guacamole so the texture was too homogenous. I’m going to make it with whole beans next time and maybe even throw in some chicken.

Very good! I used cayenne instead of Paprika and I think it gave it the spice it needed. I’m also a big fan of fresh cilantro, so I used that instead of coriander and it came out very well.

Turned out well. I replaced rice with kous kous and topped the meal with some avocado

This was delicious! I added corn (like I do to almost everything lol), some Tony Chacere’s (bc I’m Southern), and some salsa towards the end! I cooked down my veggies in a small pot, added the rice into it when it was just a little undercooked and let it simmer with the lid on for about 5-8 minutes to let the rice soak up some of the flavors. After that I added cheese and covered for a minute or so to let it melt! I think without the corn and salsa it would still be good, but the added flavor would definitely help!
Hi 22 Feb
Easy to make, however, it was nothing special and won’t be making it again.

I didn’t have any coriander or paprika but it still tasted amazing. I also added sour cream because, well, it’s sour cream.

This one sounded nice but ended up not as flavourful as I'd expected. If I were to make it again, I'd throw in a few extra ingredients and more spices! (Guacamole or fresh avocado? Corn? Sour cream? A little bit of chicken even if that means it's not veggie? Dunno, but something.) Also, I'd probably opt to eat it as a burrito instead of a burrito bowl.

Great! We added extra tomatoes! Yum!
Kelli 14 Nov 2017
It was good, easy and a ‘comfort meal’- I️ agree with other reviews that it was a little dry but a little avocado on top or salsa would be good. I’d also add jalepenos next time.

So good and so easy. I kept the rice, beans and salsa separate until I fished up. A couple scoops of rice, a few more of beans on top of that, spoonful of fresh pico de gallo, sour cream and tapatio sauce and you have yourself a quick and healthy dinner.

I really loved it... was a little dry so I made guacamole aside and it was amazing

Very yummy!! Great spices. I added more rice because I love rice. And I used brown rice. Delicious! Husband loved it too.
Vampire Girl 20 Oct 2017
it turned out pretty good considering i used chilli powder rather than peppers
Kirsten Ortez 17 Oct 2017
I added hot sauce, corn, and zuchinni. Loved the additions. Personally, it's a little plain for my taste but it's relatively quick and makes leftovers which is a must for me.
