Ingredients

200 grams softened butter
80 grams powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
100 grams ground walnuts
280 grams flour
orange zest (to taste)
granulated sugar (More powdered and, for coating)

Directions

1Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
2With an electric mixer, in medium bowl, beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar.
3Add ground walnuts, flour and orange zest.
4Beat until smooth.
5Wrap in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
6Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into 2.5 cm cylinders to form small croissants.
7Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8Bake for 15 minutes.
9Once out of the oven, carefully roll them on a mixture of icing sugar and granulated sugar.
