Ingredients

  • 35 grams softened butter
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 175 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 deciliters milk
  • 80 grams melted butter
  • 1/4 deciliter milk
  • 125 grams brown sugar
  • 40 grams hazelnuts (slivered, or almonds)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200 degres Celsius (390 degrees Farenheit).
  2. 2With an electric mixer, combine butter and sugar until creamy.
  3. 3Add the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth, 2-3 minutes.
  4. 4Pour into a greased cake pan.
  5. 5Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. 6While the cake bakes, prepare the crumble topping. Mix the melted butter, milk, brown sugar and nuts.
  7. 7Top the hot cake with the crumble topping and return to oven.
  8. 8Bake for 10 minutes until topping is caramelized.
  9. 9Let cool before unmolding.
