Ingredients

  • 113 grams butter
  • 185 grams sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 113 grams flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150C.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar, and vanilla together in a bowl until the mixture becomes somewhat thick.
  3. Sift the flour along with the baking powder and add it to the mixture until everything is completely mixed together. Make sure not to overmix.
  4. Make small round pieces by hand and place them on a baking pan which has been covered with cooking spray or parchment paper about an inch apart.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Once the edges of each cookie are slightly golden brown, take the baking tray out of the oven, let the cookies cool off, and serve.

These are a very sweet cookie and simple to make. I allowed my butter to soften at room temperature prior to mixing it with the sugars. I did not bake mine for 30 minutes as the recipe calls for; it really depends on how large you make them, so watch them close.
