Loved it! So yummy and way easier than the stuffed version!

excellent. i didn't have a thick pot so i precooked the rice (about 75% done), only used 1 cup of beef broth instead of 1.5, and simmered the whole thing for 25 minutes. worked great.

Too much oregano and basil for my picky eaters.

Great recipe! I used a full pound of beef and 2 links of Italian sausage. When it was done I transferred it to a baking dish and mixed a cup of Italian cheese with it. Spread everything out and added the other cup of the cheese blend on top and baked until the cheese on top melted. Then added the tomato sauce on top. Tasted great, the whole family loved it.

FAN-TABULOUS! Ended up with a can of diced tomatoes with added basil, garlic and oregano, so I got extra seasoning. MMM- GOOD. Second time around, I tried using low-sodium tomato sauce and beef broth just to push the sodium lower for my health. Conceded to use the diced tomatoes with added basil, garlic and oregano, but low-sodium variety also available without added seasoning (can always add in extra). Still FAN-TABULOUS! Here's a suggestion, serve the individual portions, then pour the tomato sauce, with Worcestshire, over them. The sauce won't get stirred under trying to serve from the pan.

leave out oregano, Worcestershire,& basil, used instead pink Himalayan salt, mild Ro- tel, & dash of cumin. very good, but we like spicy foods.

Great taste as is but I prefer to leave out the oregano and worcestershire sauce. Try adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon brown sugar to liquids......zesty and flavorful!

Just made this for tonight's dinner using lean ground turkey and an extra fresh chiffonade of basil. It was very good, but a tad dry. Next time I will add a bit more beef stock before the rice simmer stage. Topped with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, and there were no leftovers. I will make it again!
