  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 sage leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tomato (large ripe, chopped)
  • 2 sausages (cut up into pieces)
  • salt and ground black pepper

    Directions

    1. Place the beans in a terracotta saucepan and add water to cover.
    2. Add the tomato, garlic, sage, and sausages.
    3. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring it rapidly to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat to a light simmer, and cook for approximately 1 hour.
