Ingredients

  • 6 ribeye (rib) pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
  • vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup rum (OR orange juice)
  • 1/3 cup green onions (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup dates (snipped)
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine rum, green onions, dates, steak sauce, molasses, parsley, garlic, lemon pepper, onion powder and salt. Pour into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Brush chops lightly with a little oil and brown 2 minutes on each side in a hot skillet; arrange browned chops on top of date mixture. Bake, uncovered, in 350 degrees oven for 25-30 minutes, until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 160 degrees F.
