Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Place the slices of bread inside a baking dish.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, chipotle pepper, egg, and a pinch of salt and black pepper) to a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth. Pour this mixture onto the bread.
  4. Add a layer of tuna onto the bread, and then a layer of cheese onto the tuna. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove the dish and allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with slices of avocado on top, if desired.

I love this recipe for tuna pasta. I used a sourdough bread when making this, which seemed to add to the flavor combinations. I made sure to put the avocados on top, as it adds another healthy addition to the meal. My kids will eat this and it is so much better than those helper dinners that the store sells. It’s full of flavor and just amazing.
