Ingredients

  • 13 1/4 ounces linguine (or tagliatelle)
  • 15 ounces tuna in olive oil (drained, oil reserved)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 tablespoons fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced, plus extra wedges, to serve)
  • 1 red chili (long, seeded, finely sliced)

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat reserved tuna oil and 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Sauté breadcrumbs and garlic for 3-4 mins, until toasted. Add tuna, herbs, lemon zest, lemon juice, chili, remaining olive oil and pasta. Toss to combine. Season.
  3. Serve with lemon wedges.
