All of your favorite things about fettuccine alfredo comes to this creamy pasta dish. Made with tuna, bacon, tomatoes, and mushrooms, this fettuccine dish is a complete meal. Can be made with gluten free fettuccine.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams fettuccine
  • olive oil (as needed)
  • 75 grams bacon
  • 100 grams fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 red pepper (small, finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 3 cans tuna (natural)
  • 200 milliliters cream (herbal cooking, Parmalat)
  • coriander (as needed)

Directions

  1. Heat a pot of salted water to boiling. Add the pasta.
  2. Heat a little olive oil in a large frying pan, and saute bacon and mushroom slices until golden.
  3. Add the peppers and tomatoes, mix.
  4. Add the tuna and a pinch of salt, mix.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. When the pasta is cooked, remove from heat, and drain in a colander. Set aside.
  7. Add cream to pasta pan, and bring to boil over medium heat. Add the fettuccine and mix well.
  8. Serve the fettuccine on individual plates, top with the tuna, and sprinkle with fresh coriander.

My grandmother made a similar dish but rather than shape the cabbage and potato she heaped it high on our plates then dotted it with crispy, torn bacon. I was delighted to try this recipe. It had all the same flavors as grandma’s and we all enjoyed the memories!
