Ingredients

  • 284 grams canned tuna (drained)
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 jalapeno chili (finely chopped)
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 2 loaves (small ciabatta)
  • lettuce leaves
  • tomato (sliced)
  • onion (sliced)
  • pickles (sliced)

Directions

  1. Mix the tuna with the mayonnaise and chili. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cut the bread in half and warm on both sides.
  3. Plate the bottom half of the bread and the rest of the ingredients in this order: lettuce, tuna, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, and then add the top half of the bread. Serve.

There is nothing better than a good tuna-fish sandwich. I changed a couple things to make it perfect for my palate. I didn't use onions or pickles, and I didn't put any chilies in the recipe. It all worked together nicely and putting it on a ciabatta bun was scrumptious.
