Make your own savory crunchy snack at home with this recipe for Tortilla Chips. Made with flour tortillas cut into triangles, these Tortilla Chips are brushed with butter and covered in a mixture of parmesan cheese, sesame and poppy seeds, paprika, salt and pepper and then baked until golden brown. These homemade Tortilla Chips make the perfect snack when you are hosting a party or when you want a snack to watch the big game. Serve with guacamole or salsa or your favorite dip.

Ingredients

  • 12 flour tortillas (cut into triangles)
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 50 grams butter (melted)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil.
  3. Spread out the tortilla triangles on a flat surface.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cheese, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, paprika, and a pinch of the salt and pepper.
  5. Brush the tortilla triangles with butter on one side. Sprinkle with the cheese mixture on that side.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the tortilla is golden brown.
  7. Place on a cooling rack.
  8. Serve with guacamole, cheese dip, or any desired dip.

Make sure you add a little bit extra lime juice to the guacamole so it won't turn brown before it's eaten. Add in a little cilantro and chopped tomatoes if you want it to be chunkier. This is so good with tortilla chips.
