Wow, I really thought this sauce was too simple to be great, I was so wrong! This sauce is unbelievably good and I will make it over and over!!! Especially since it is so easy, it makes for a quick and delicious meal.

I made the sauce (with my own exceptions and additions) and it came out soooo good.. I think it was better than the intended receipt. The recipe prior to changes called for a homemade sauce - I used Bertoli's Sweet Basil and tomatoes (delicious). I also used 1/2 and 1/2 instead of the cream. That is just a matter of thickness so either works. I used 1 tsp of dry basil (instead of fresh) because the sauce was already adding a large amount of basil and that too is a matter of taste. I love basil so it worked. I also like spicy and I am not sure what you consider a dash, but I added 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes and 1 tsp of Mrs. Dash's Garlic and Herb spice. I made this sauce to go with butternut squash ravioli's and tricolor cheese tortellini. It was a hit and I definitely will make it again and soon!!!

The recipes is great. However, if you dont have heavy cream, it can be replaced with Full Cream dairy milk. It works well for me.
