Great flavor. The recipe doesn't detail how to prepare the tomatoes. I'd recommend peeling them and removing seeds. Cut an x at the bottom of your tomatoes and place in boiling water until you can see the skin peeling off slightly. Recipe calls for plum tomatoes but I prefer beefsteak.

came out great! used 1cup 1/2 or fresh vine tomatoes and a cup1/2 of can fire roasted tomatoes diced for extra flavor..def made a difference! :) will def make again

I’ve been craving tomato soup and this fit the bill. Since there are no real flavorful tomatos available this time of year I used fire roasted diced tomatoes I substituted light cream for heavy. It was fantastic will definitely be making again. Will try with fresh tomatoes in the summer

Awesome! I am not a tomato soup fan. My girlfriend is so I started looking for a recipe and this one looked like it had potential. The only things I changed were that I added more garlic and crushed red pepper. Then for a garnish I added fresh buffalo mozzarella after it was poured and a basil leaf. I walked away a fan of this soup and found an excuse to make it again the same week. I also recommend doubling the recipe. You will want left overs. Love it.

Was really good... I think I may have put it in blender too long. It could also use a little bit of sugar to get rid of the tartness from the ‘maters. But bro! It was BROTASTIC!!!
