Description

Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that features 3 bold ingredients that come together for a decadent dessert. Those three ingredients, mascarpone, coffee, and cocoa powder are transformed into muffins for a different take on the classic. These muffins have all the flavors of the classic dessert, but are much less time and energy consuming to make. Top them with a dallop of whipped cream for a simple dessert.

Ingredients

  • 220 grams flour
  • 110 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 85 grams butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 eggs
  • 125 grams mascarpone
  • 125 milliliters coffee
  • cocoa powder

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2In a bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. 3In another bowl, beat together the butter and egg. Once mixed, add the mascarpone cheese and coffee. Combine well.
  4. 4Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, making sure it is well incorporated.
  5. 5Fill muffin tins halfway, sprinkle cocoa powder, fill the rest of the way up, then sprinkle more cocoa powder.
  6. 6Bake for 20-22 minutes. Pierce the center with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the muffins are done.
  7. 7Cool and enjoy.
