- 3 pounds ground beef
- 1 can beer (or bottle, I use Coors Light)
- 14 ounces black beans (rinsed and drained)
- 14 ounces red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
- 24 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 24 ounces diced tomatoes

The best chili ever. We top it with cheddar cheese and corn chips and sour cream....awesome. The last time I made it I only had 4 cans of rotel tomatoes, 1 can of tomatoe paste and doubled the beer...still delicious.

I personally don't put so much ground beef in, it seems excessive. I also don't use the bell pepper, but that's just me. i love the flavor and texture.

Turned out well! Needed to add a little extra salt and pepper but other than that real great recipe. Quite a bit of food so I put some in the fridge and the rest in the freezer.

Very good! I used tofu instead of meat and replaced the beans with grapes and ... OH COME ON PEOPLE! It’s chili! Follow the recipe and have some excellent chili! I made it a bit spicy but it’s good if you have any beer left to cool down the heat after eating it I was concerned about cooking raw meat in the vegetables but it works out, just keep an eye on it to make sure it all cooks through

Made with chicken, no bacon, added green chilies, cooked in crockpot. Used an Octoberfest beer. Very good. Filled up the crock pot to the rim so make sure you have a large one.

My entire family LOVES this recipe.....which is not an easy task, most days. My kids range from 3 to 10 and it was loved by all. I also made it for a big group and got compliments from almost everyone. This is a keeper to make over and over!

The cans of beans and tomatoes I found were all an ounce or two over recommended, so i spent the last 30 minutes of cook time with the lid off and it reduced down to a great water content level. Next time I will chop up a jalapeño or two to throw into the mix instead of the chipotle powder.

Tastes good, very meaty, I will use less beef if I make it again. Your run of the mill chili, nothing overly noteworthy about it, but still makes a nice meal.

Had to tweak it a bit added chopped ham instead of bacon and I didn't have cayenne pepper. Added Yellow and Orange peppers in place of the green and red. Used Corona beer and it smells delicious already!

This was fantastic. I opted for a hearty tablespoon of the chipotle powder and added a jalapeno. It was just spicy enougg to taste but not over power. Recommend for sure.
