- 5 pounds chuck roast (a tri-tip roast is also really good)
- 2 cans low sodium cream of mushroom soup
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- baby carrots
- pepper (to taste)

Use to make this 40 years ago.. Then could not find bone in pot roast for many years or if I did it was skinny and of poor quality.. It has finally come back in local super market.. Used YUMMLY recipe to refresh memory and am I glad I did.. Super - Super as I remember.. Thanks

This was very good and easy to get ready. I ended up using one can of cream of celery and one can of cream of mushroom because that is what I had in the house. Everyone really liked it.

Amazing! I love a thick gravy rather than watery and this is perfect! I added some red pepper for spice.
