This Thai Iced Tea is a perfect way to cool off on a hot summer night. With star anise, cardamom and condensed milk added to a fruit flavored rooibos tea, it is guaranteed to not only cleanse the palate, but also take you away from the stresses of everyday life. Why not serve it at your next garden party or holiday event for a crowd pleasing refreshing drink. It will surprise and tanailize!

Ingredients

  • 500 milliliters water
  • 1 tablespoon tea (author´s suggestion: fruit flavored rooibos tea)
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon seeds
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cardamom seeds
  • 2 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 7 ice cubes
  • whipped cream (optional)

Directions

  1. Begin by boiling water and preparing the tea along with the star anise (or anise seeds) and cardamom. Once the water is boiling, add the tea and remove the mix from the heat.
  2. Cover it and set it aside.
  3. Once the tea mixture has cooled, add the condensed milk and stir lightly.
  4. Pour the tea into tall glasses with ice cubes and garnish with the whipped cream to taste.
  5. Serve immediately.

This 5 star tea recipe is a original taste of Thailand that I will make in replacement of my other teas. I added sweet and low to mine and really enjoyed it. It has that authentic kettle brewed taste to it.
