This teriyaki chicken is made with just 5 ingredients and comes together in less than 40 minutes for a healthy and simple meal. Marinating the chicken in a mixture of mirin, soy sauce, and ginger overnight allows for it to become extremely flavorful and bold. Try this chicken sliced over a chopped salad or serve it in a wrap for a simple lunch. At 120 calories, this chicken is the great base for a healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into thick strips)
  • 1/2 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 centimeters ginger (piece of, grated)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Place chicken, mirin, soy sauce, and ginger in a resealable bag. Mix well and make sure the chicken pieces are fully coated. Place the bag in the refrigerator for 8 to 12 hours. Flip the bag on every couple of hours.
  2. Add the oil to a skillet on medium heat. Add the chicken and saute for up to 15 minutes, until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Serve on a plate with a salad or rice.

This chicken is so delicious. It would be good in a salad, or in a stir fry. Me and my family liked it a lot. I will definitely make it again.
