Description

No baking required for these tasty chocolate bites. Made with no flour, an oat based dough is rolled into balls, dipped in chocolate and coated with your favorite topping--coconut, chopped nuts, the choice is yours. An elegant accompaniment to tea or dessert for company.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/5 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • dark chocolate
  • coconut (shavings, substitute with slivered almonds or peanuts)

Directions

  1. 1Grind oats in mixer. Set aside.
  2. 2Mix butter and sugar for about 5 minutes in mixer.
  3. 3Add vanilla, sugar, and cocoa. Mix.
  4. 4Add half of the oats. Mix.
  5. 5Add the cream and the remaining oats and mix well until a paste is formed.
  6. 6Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. 7Melt the dark chocolate in a saucepan.
  8. 8Form small balls with the dough, dip them in the melted chocolate, and roll them in coconut shavings or slivered almonds or peanuts.
