Description

These little puff pastry bites make for a perfect appetizer. A tapenade made from black olives, anchovies, and capers make a bold and flavorful filling. The fillng is rolled up in pre-made puff pastry, forming a stunning spiral pattern that makes these a beautiful and delicious snack. You only need 8 ingredients and 35 minutes to pull this recipe together, this makes them a great appetizer to make when you are pressed for time but still want to serve something impressive.

Ingredients

130 grams black olives (pitted)
1 garlic cloves (peeled)
5 anchovies
1 tablespoon capers
dried thyme
dried rosemary
olive oil
1 sheet puff pastry

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2Add the black olives, garlic, anchovies, capers, a pinch each of thyme and rosemary, and a drizzle of olive oil to a food processor and blend until smooth like a paste.
3Roll out the puff pastry. Spread the tapenade evenly on top leaving a small border on all sides.
4Like a scroll, roll both of the long ends toward the middle. They should meet in the middle
5With a sharp knife, cut 2 centimeter wheels.
6Bake the puff pastry for 10 minutes until golden.
