Description

Featuring freshly made garlic flower pesto, this vegetarian tagliatelle pasta dish is full of fresh vegetables. Creamy pesto is served alongside, add as much as you want! A great dinner that can be prepared ahead of time and assembled quickly.

Ingredients

10 garlic (flower stalks)
1/2 cup hemp seeds (shelled)
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (or more to taste)
1/2 cup olive oil (first cold pressed)
250 grams tagliatelle pasta
1 pint cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
1/2 cup kalamata (purple)
1/2 red onion (sliced)
basil leaves
salt
ground black pepper

Directions

1Pesto Preparation: Put the garlic flower stalks in a blender or food processor.
2Gradually add the hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil.
3Store pesto in glass jars to have handy.
4To assemble the meal, place cooked tagliatelle on plate, adorn with tomatoes, olives, red onion, and basil leaves. Serve pesto in a small side dish.
