Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package corn chips
  • salt
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 1 can chili beans
  • onion (1 med.)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 10 ounces corn tortillas

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef and drain.
  2. Add onion, green pepper (both chopped), salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin and garlic.
  3. Cook covered about 10 minutes. Add chili beans, mix well and remove from heat. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with tortillas. Layer ground beef mixture and tortillas.
  4. Top with corn chips and grated Cheddar cheese. Bake until cheese melts and chips brown slightly.
