Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 2/3 pounds swiss cheese (such as Gruyere, Jarlsberg or Emmental., grated)
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch (or dry white wine)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 baguette (cut into bite-size cubes)

Directions

  1. Rub inside of a medium saucepan with garlic. Add cheese, flour, wine, lemon juice, kirsch and nutmeg. Simmer on very low heat for 5 mins, stirring in a figure-eight pattern, until melted and creamy.
  2. Keep fondue hot in a fondue pot or slow cooker set on low heat. Serve with baguette cubes for dipping.
