Husband approved! Just had an issue with the sauce, it took awhile to thicken the sauce so i ended up adding cornstarch into it.

My family rates this 11/10 and my husband was skeptical as he doesn’t like “tangy” flavor but it didn’t turn out that way at all and he loved it! Everyone ate all theirs and my two year old had seconds. The way the chicken is lightly fried in the corn starch adds the yummiest texture and flavor. I tweaked it a little and was out of sesame seeds so didn’t go out of my way for that. Drizzled in a bit of honey and instead of Chile flakes I added 2 TBS sriracha. Didn’t make it too spicy but can definitely build with more. Making my mom make it for their house tonight. Thank you!

Was lovely - I used fresh chillies, chives and garlic and added spring onions to the sauce which gave a bit more texture. Will definitely be making it again. Quick and easy.

It was tasty but I have some personal suggestions I didn’t coat the chicken and fried it up with a little water as I was trying to keep the recipe a little healthier. The un-coated, stir-fried chicken worked well. I also cheated a bit by adding some corn starch to the sauce to get it to thicken quicker (company was arriving early). Next time I make it, I will cut the chicken into smaller pieces in order to get a better chicken to sauce ratio on each bite. Perhaps 1/2 inch chunks would do. I also am going to try putting some big chunks of onion in there when combining the chicken and sauce to give an alternative texture to the dish. Overall this was an easy recipe and my guests quickly took me up on the offer to take the leftovers home!
