new to the lentil game and i used green lentils instead of red, which took WAY longer to cook... the sauce was delicious though with rice and steamed broccoli!

Really good flavor. I took a suggestion from the comments and used brown lentils but didnt think about the fact that it would take longer to cook! So the veggies that I added were a overcooked and the lentils still a bit crunchy. But that was my mistake, it still had a great flavor. I would stick to red lentils on the next round :)

Very good. I was kind of unsure the first two spoonfuls but the more I tried it, the more I liked it.

I didn’t have any onion so I used carrot and skipped the ginger and it was still so tasty!

Tasted great! Very filling and healthy. Mixed it with brown rice that I made in a slow cooker.

I loved this. The flavour was amazing. I will say that I think that red lentils disintegrate too much while cooking, so if I was doing it again, I would probably use brown or black lentils so they keep some of their texture.

The entire family loved this recipe. Added some additional vegetables, green beans and carrots for some crunch. Has become a weekly meal in our house.

This recipe came out super tasty! I added green beans and broccoli for some fresh veg. I will definitely make this again in the future, as it was very easy and quick to make!

Loved it!! It was better than I expected. It wasn’t too sweet and the Asian flavors came through nicely. It was a big hit!

Got a bit different outlook, but the taste was great. Added some lime at the end though.

delicious! slightly on the salty side but easy to adjust in future iterations by reducing the soy sauce component . I also used black beans instead of lentils

Easy to make. I added carrots and celery to the onions. Very mild spice. I think I’ll add sriracha to my servings but good for those who can’t eat spicy food. Used Moroccan style couscous instead of rice

This recipe is delicious! It is quick to put together for a weeknight dinner, and is great leftover the next day for lunch. I topped the lentils with steamed veggies, but the recipe is also good without them. It was a little too salty for my taste, however, so next time I will make it with low-sodium soy sauce, or cut the regular soy sauce with some water.

Fabulous! Served this many times and am now a fan of lentils. That the entire family likes it as well is such a plus! I serve it over brown or black rice.

I made this as a last minute side dish and it has very food flavour. Unfortunately, it took way longer than the recipe said... it simmered for 20 minutes, but the lentils were still hard. I had to add some more water and cook for another 10. Maybe my pan was too big? I'll make this again, but will expect it to take longer...

This is so quick and easy to make and turned out amazing! Pleased even the picky 8 year old. I followed the recipe entirely and am inspired now to find other similar ones.

love anything with some zip and even more if it's easy. My (somewhat vegetarian) son loved it and it was hearty enough for my hubby who had two bowls. Really really tasty. I might try adding chicken or tofu next time.

Very very enjoyable and I love how quick it was to make. It's the perfect hot dinner (or hot lunch) to make when you don't have a lot of time or want to spend much time in the kitchen. Just shy of five stars as sodium content could be high (but anything using soy sauce will drive that). Going to try it again with a low sodium soy sauce and if it is still as enjoyable, then five stars it is.
Update: Tried with low sodium soy sauce and perfect Up to five

Incredibly simple, yet I enjoyed this dish more than I expected. So much so I ate it for breakfast and dinner on the same day... And it makes a great base for further experimentation.
