No baking required in this easy chocolate tart. Made with puffed rice cereal, each bite has a chocolatey crunch. Make ahead of time and put in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

Ingredients

  • 1 package wafers (rectangular toasted)
  • 100 grams softened butter (or margarine)
  • 1 deciliter milk
  • 2 deciliters cream
  • salt
  • 100 grams baking chocolate
  • 100 grams milk chocolate
  • 100 grams rice cereal (puffed chocolate)

Directions

  1. Chop the wafer completely in a food processor, until it looks like sand. Add the softened butter or margarine, and mix very well. Line the bottom of a pie plate. Alternatively, use a spring pan.
  2. Place in a saucepan, the milk, cream, and a pinch of salt, and bring to boil. When almost boiling, remove from the heat, add the chocolate broken into pieces, and let it melt, stirring occasionally.
  3. When the chocolates have melted, add the cereal, and mix very well. Pour this mixture on top of the ground wafers in the pie pan, and refrigerate for a few hours. Serve very cold.

Great chocolate tart recipe. Great taste and the consistency is on point. I will have to make this again and send some over to my family down the road. It gets 5 stars in my book, I just wish I was able to actually rate it. Thanks so much for sharing.
