With an oreo cookie crust and a whipped chocolate filling, this chocolate tart begs to be made for dessert. The crust is made easily with the aid of a food processor. No baking required for this luxurious chocolatey dessert.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams OREO® Cookies (white label)
  • 90 grams margarine (softened)
  • 200 milliliters whipping cream (powdered)
  • 200 grams unsweetened chocolate
  • 50 grams butter
  • salt

Directions

  1. Crush the cookies in the food processor, and mix with the softened margarine.
  2. Use your fingers to spread this dough in an ungreased pie pan, covering the bottom and sides. Place in the freezer while you prepare the topping.
  3. For the topping, slowly heat the cream in a small pan. When it begins to boil, remove from heat, add butter and crumbled pieces of chocolate. Stir until dissolved, and the cream is shiny.
  4. Pour on the pie dough, and decorate as desired (the rest of the biscuits, nuts, or candies).
  5. Store in the refrigerator until serving.

This salad plates beautifully and the flavors are spot on! It’s a favorite fall and winter lunch item at the mom’s club I attend. We usually serve it as the main with dinner rolls or hearty lunch crackers. At home, I serve this with brunch when my daughter and her dorm-mates come for the weekend.
