  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup sun dried tomatoes (soft)
  • 1 cup basil leaves (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 cup raw walnuts
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic (1 clove)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan (or 2 teaspoons sweet white, yellow, or chickpea miso paste)
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

    Directions

    1. Throw the ingredients into your KitchenAid® blender in the order listed. Secure the lid, remove the center lid cap, and insert the tamper. Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds using the tamper to guide the ingredients through the blades until well combined and to your desired consistency. (You may need to stop the machine and scrape down the sides of the container.)
    2. Serve with cooked pasta or spiralized noodles; as a dip with crackers, bread, or crudités; or slathered on sandwiches and wraps.
