Description

Crisp and savory, these Stuffed Potatoes make a great dinner entree when served with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Ground pork, sauteed onions, and garlic make up the flavorful juicy filling at the center of these potato dumplings. Fried in oil until brown and crispy on the outside, the inside of these Stuffed Potatoes will simply melt in your mouth. To make these Stuffed Potatoes vegetarian, substitute zucchini or mushrooms for the ground pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • salt
  • vegetable oil
  • 250 grams ground pork (chopped)
  • 1 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 1 onions (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 green onions (chopped)
  • flour
  • ground black pepper

Directions

  1. 1Cook the potatoes in plenty of salted boiling water. Peel and mash with a fork.
  2. 2Add 1 egg and a pinch of salt.
  3. 3Heat some oil in a saucepan. Sauté the onion and garlic. Add the pork meat and mix.
  4. 4Roll the mashed potatoes and slice into portions. With floured hands, shape one of the portions into a ball. Stretch until it is about 20 centimeters in diameter. Add a spoonful of the meat and close the patty, shape into an oval.
  5. 5Heat some oil in a saucepan.
  6. 6Cover the patty with the beaten egg, flour, and a pinch of black pepper. Fry in the hot oil until golden brown.
