  • 1 1/2 cups long grain brown rice
  • 1 onion (medium, chopped)
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 3 italian sausage (links)
  • 1/3 cup pecorino romano (or Parmesan Cheese for filling)
  • 1/3 cup pecorino romano (or Parmesan Cheese for topping)
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce (jar prepared, I recommend the brand Cucina Antica)
  • 8 green bell peppers (medium sized)
  • 1/4 whole panko bread crumbs (wheat)
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper
  • Remove All from Shopping List

    Directions

    1. Cook rice according to package directions. Once cooked set aside to cool.
    2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
    3. Cut top off of peppers and take out seeds and membranes. Save the tops of peppers, remove stems, and dice.
