When you’re tired of your ordinary salad, this one will liven up your day. Red, juicy strawberries. Green, crisp salad greens. Thick slices of halloumi cheese. Complimented by mint and basil leaves. This salad will deliver a perfect mixture of sweet and tart and will give you the energy you need for your day.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams strawberries
  • 8 slices halloumi cheese
  • 1 cup mixed salad greens
  • 15 fresh mint
  • 15 basil leaves
  • balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1Cut the strawberries in 4 pieces, put them in a bowl, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, half the lemon juice, and 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. 2Season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3Add the fresh mint and basil.
  4. 4In a frying pan, brown the halloumi in olive oil until golden.
  5. 5Add the lettuce to the strawberry mixture, mix gently.
  6. 6Check seasoning, add oil or vinegar if necessary.
  7. 7In each plate, lay 2 slices of halloumi, then add the strawberry and salad mixture.
  8. 8Serve with a slice of toasted bread.
