Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 potatoes (medium)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 4 beef steak (slices or 2 large slices)
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  1. Cut the potatoes, bell pepper, and onions into large squares.
  2. Pour the olive oil into a large pot and once the oil begins to heat up, place the potatoes in and let them cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Once the the potatoes are lightly cooked, add the bell pepper and onion, add salt and pepper, and cook for another 10 minutes making sure to mix everything continuously.
  4. Once the potatoes are fully cooked, turn off the stove and set them aside on a plate.
  5. Grill the beef slices on a large pan ( preferably well done) and once the meat is ready, serve it on a plate with the potatoes, onions, and bell peppers on top.

I am not a fan of plain stewed potatoes. I just don't think they have much flavor. I think some cheesy mashed potatoes with chives sprinkled on top would taste better with the steak. Caramelize some onions and saute some mushrooms in a pan, and top the steak with them before you serve it.
