Description

One-pot meals certainly have their place in the week night repertoire. Here, the slow cooker turns out gently cooked steaks so they're waiting for you instead of the other way around. The simple sauce, made from white wine, beef broth, peas and shallots, bastes the meat while it cooks, infusing it with flavor. Since it's dairy-free, this is an ideal option for a diet-savvy or lactose-intolerant crew.

Ingredients

  • 5 steak
  • 250 grams peas (medium)
  • 1 shallots (sliced finely)
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • flour
  • salt and ground black pepper

Directions

  1. 1Coat the steaks with flour.
  2. 2Grease the slow cooker pan.
  3. 3Add the steaks, the shallot, and the peas.
  4. 4Add the white wine and the broth.
  5. 5Season to taste with salt and black pepper and stir carefully.
  6. 6Set the slow cooker to low for 4 hours and then 1 hour on high.
  7. 7Serve hot.
