Imagine the concept of a salad bar, but with a selection of delicious treats everyone can choose from to create their own ultimate hot chocolate. All you do is heat milk with white chocolate chips and vanilla, set out the add-ins, and let your imagination run the show. In addition to whipped cream, you can go with toppings that you find at the grocery store or a party store. Or shop online for sweets such as marshmallows (regular mini marshmallows, Lucky Charms mini marshmallows, or green and yellow mini marshmallows), candy pops (green mini unicorn lollipops or candy sticks), pastel or rainbow mini chocolate chips, cookies (pirouettes, mint Oreos, or shortbread), candy (Andes mints, green M&Ms), and candy sprinkles.   • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinches salt
  • whipped cream
  • mini marshmallows (regular mini marshmallows, Lucky Charms mini marshmallows, or green and yellow mini marshmallows)
  • lollipop (green mini unicorn lollipops or candy sticks; optional)
  • mini chocolate chips (pastel or rainbow; optional)
  • cookies (pirouettes, mint Oreos, or shortbread; optional)
  • M&M's Candy (green, and/or Andes mints; optional)
  • candy sprinkles

    Directions

    1. Bring milk to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Add chocolate chips and stir often until completely melted, about 5 minutes.
    2. Stir in vanilla and salt. Ladle hot chocolate into mugs.
    3. Place whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and extras (lollipops, mini chocolate chips, cookies, M&Ms, and candy sprinkles), if using, in bowls on a serving board. Serve with hot chocolate.
