Ingredients

  • 1 onion (small, chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • olive oil (as needed)
  • 100 grams bacon (thin strips)
  • 1 kilogram squid (clean)
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 200 milliliters cream
  • salt (as needed)

Directions

  1. Saute onion and garlic in a large pan with a little olive oil on medium heat.
  2. When golden, add bacon, and fry a little. Add the sliced squid, season with a little salt, and add the mustard, and tomato paste. Cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the cream, mix well, and cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Serve with white rice.

This recipe is fantastic! It tastes absolutely amazing. Obviously adding the bacon was a genius idea. The flavors of the squid and mustard sauce complement each other. You would never think they do, but the result is amazing. The white rice also adds the perfect consistency to the dish. Definitely top quality and definitely worth the 40 minutes it takes to make. I could make this every week and still not get sick of it.
