    Delicious... and I added.a few extra peas. I puree'd about 2 cups before serving. I made buttermilk cornbread. Yummy!

    Delicious the only thing I changed was the ham hock I did it have it so I added cubed ham and it was wonderful!

    very good. it's super high in sodium due to the hame hock so I try cutting salt in any area possible but otherwise great. my go to recipe for split pea.

    I made this for my husband who loves split pea soup. He says it's the best he's ever had! (and he's a tough critic). I used 3 small garlic cloves, (they recommend 1-3), and they didn't have ham hock at our small, local grocery store, so I just bought some ham and diced it up, and added it when I added the carrots. Delicious!
