Delicious. I had a ham bone with a lot of meat in the freezer, so used it. It turned out great.

Turned out great although I used four hocks instead of two for extra meat but all in all very happy the way it turned out..... might add some red pepper flake next time for a little zing.....

Delicious when I added 1/8 tsp of cumin!
First time it’s ever turned out...Had to keep it at a boil to break up the peas but delicious
Turned out great! I used dried thyme because I didn’t have fresh and it was still delicious.
It turned out great I added some Mexican creme when serving it
Wonderful flavor and perfect texture for split pea soup.

Added to much water and next time I’d add some garlic cloves!?
Had to add a little more pepper for flavor other than that came out great. Love Yummly recipes.

Great recipe. Needs to cook closer to 2+ hours though. Also salt and pepper should be added at various points.

My first attempt at split pea soup, and it came out AMAZING! I love smoked ham hocks, but my store was out, so i used smoked turkey wings. They gave off the same smoky flavor, but yielded WAY more meat. I did have to simmer the soup for about 30 minutes after pureeing 3/4 of it, to get the right consistency.

Delicious. Cooked it for 2 hours as per the directions on the packet of split peas. Will add potatoes next time. Really liked the addition of thyme.

It was great I added some barley too. I used a smoke pork shank. It was a bit tough. I'll use hocks next time
