  • 0.5 ounces oats (uncooked)
  • 0.5 ounces wheat bran
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 3/4 nuts (an ounce, e.g. almonds and brazil nuts)
  • 1/4 ground flax seeds (an ounce)
  • 4 ounces yoghurt (low fat unsweetened)
  • 1 peach (cut into small wedges)

    Directions

    1. Place oats, bran, mixed spices and ginger in a breakfast bowl and cover with 3 oz of boiling water. Stir and let it rest for a minute. Stir, cover and microwave for one minute. Remove, stir and return to the microwave until cooked – for another minute or so.
    2. Top with nuts, sliced peach and yoghurt and sprinkle with ground flax seeds. Add additional mixed spices (if you prefer)
