Ingredients

  • 4 stalks celery (chopped fine)
  • 1 onion (chopped fine)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced or pressed)
  • 20 ounces firm tofu (drained & mashed)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (finely ground)
  • 3 cups brown lentils (cooked, any will work but I like the french!)
  • 2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 6 tablespoons liquid aminos (Bragg's)
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup (additional for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 4 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (each, sage, and rosemary)
  • 1 cup catsup (you can make your own!)
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (I make my own caribbean jerk, or used my raspberry thunder sauce)
