- 2 apples
- 2 pears
- 2 quinces
- 1 glass apple juice
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 star anise
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Peel the quinces, cut into large pieces and cook for 10 minutes in boiling water. Drain them.
- Peel and cut the apples and pears in pieces. In a stew pot, add the fruits and the quince, the apple juice, the spices (the vanilla pod sliced in 2 lengthwise), the tablespoon of honey.
- Cook over low heat with the lid on for 15-20 minutes so that the fruits break down.
- Remove the vanilla bean and star anise and serve warm.
