Description

If you love snickerdoodle cookies this recipe is a must try. The secret is the crisco shortening and a few extra flavorings. I hope you try it and love it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crisco shortening (For which there is NO substitute.)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 drops almond extract (just 2 drops! This is my favorite flavoring but it only takes a dab.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon clove

    1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees
    2. Next mix your first three ingredients until creamy.
    3. While your mixer is doing all the work, in a separate bowl combine your flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
