- 1 envelope lipton recipe secrets onion soup mix
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients; shape into loaf. 2. Arrange in slow cooker and cook covered on LOW 6 to 8 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. HELPFUL HINT...To ease removal of meat loaf, fold two 24-inch long pieces of aluminum foil in half lengthwise, then in half again. Arrange aluminum foil criss-cross in bottom of slow cooker, letting ends hang outside. To remove meat loaf, carefully lift aluminum foil. My first attempt at meatloaf and it was a success! It was nice and moist. I didn't actually do it in the slow cooker, but 375 in the oven for about 1.25hrs did the trick! I followed up with the broiler for about 5 minutes. I brought it to the potluck, and it was a hit! I would definitely make this again.

It wad Great! I missed read the the catsup and chile sause that was suppose to be on the top of the meatloaf and i put it in the meat mixture.Added only 1/4 of milk cause the whole 1/2 would of been to much liquid.It was dilicious and moist!!!!Its a keeper....

I baked it at 375°f for 2 hours in a cast iron pot with lid on and meat was wrapped in foil on all sides except the top. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Delisious instead of slow cooking it I heated the oven to 350°f and baked it for 1 hour still divine

This was delicious. I added garlic to the meat and threw carrots into the crockpot. I did add the water since my beef was 90% lean, but about 1/2 cup. I will make this again

Made this for dinner came out gr8. I did what Samantha suggested and DID NOT USE THE water and came out just fine. Cooked on high for awhile then dropped to low. Just as Denise. Oh and my daughter and hubby loved it.

This turned out great I did NOT use the water, it's super moist without it. I think the water would make it fall apart and be "meatloaf soup". I put a few cut up potatoes and asparagus in the crockpot with it as well so more of the dinner was completely done all at once! (Could do carrots or green beans, etc if you don't like asparagus)

This turned out great. I'll make this recipe in the crock pot for meatloaf from now on. I made it exactly by the recipe except I just looked at the recipe and I forgot the ketchup. Didn't seem to matter. I did cook on high for one hour then dropped to low for a total cook time of 6 hours.

it's the only meatloaf I make! But usually substitute Quaker oats for breadcrumbs (today I only have breadcrumbs) and add mushrooms (canned bits & pieces) and chopped celery. Love it! today will give the breadcrumbs a test! sometimes use 1/2 ground chick or turkey with the ground beef. Don't think my beef eating husband knows that! Am doing substituting for this edition - am in Mts of NC and pantry is pretty bare! tomato sauce for catchup! Am sure we will like it so will do review now. but will miss the celery (don't have any) and oats! Glad I could find this recipe on line! thanks (forgot to bring my recipe file) OH! just noticed slow cookiner instructions! Mine is always in standard one 350 deg. but read some great ideas here which I will adopt in the future!

My mom always made this recipe, I really like it and it's easy! The only thing I change is that I don't use as much water as is listed. I use about 1/2 of that amount and it is so moist it almost falls apart. Cooking in the slow cooker, it gets super moist. And...I always use a slow cooker liner for easy clean up, they are the best!

I really like this meat loaf, I make it all the time. It is easy and works on a budget, cut it in half and freeze the other half for later. I have a loaf pan size cooker. Put a little rack in the bottom to hold the meat up a little. Cut potatoes in wedges and carrots long ways. put several of each under the rack with a touch of water and the juices from the meat will cook them as well, for a complete meal.

This is my old stand by recipe, love it. I just cut it in half for a smaller amount. I serve this to family and friends and have never had a complaint.

Stand-by recipe on a budget. I added a bit of diced canned tomatoes. Simple and tasty. Can be done in conventional oven as well.

love it.... but will be using a pressure cooker just wonder how long? my grandma used to make this but we pour the dry mix over the top instead of inside the loaf.. easiestr meatloaf and tastes the best... i add some worstcheshire to it...

For low carb, I use ground up pork rinds instead of bread crumbs. Adds a bit of extra flavor as well.

Good recipe. I am baking mine in the oven though. Thanks Lipton onion soup mix is what makes the flavor stand out. I used saltine crackers instead of bread crumbs.

I added about a tsp of season salt, a tsp of pepper, a TBSP of sriracha, and 2 TBSP of cornstarch in place of the eggs (we were out of eggs so I searched online for a substitute).

i think it is a great recipe. i've used it quite a bit. sometimes i just make it without catsup. everyone at home enjoyed it everytime i made it. i've also suggested it to my friends. they beat me to it.

I love to smoke this meatloaf on my hasty bake charcoal grill. Before I put it on the grill I drizzle a little BBQ sauce over it. Best meatloaf ever!!!!!

Almost gave up on making meatloaf because when the outside was done the inside tended to be not quite cooked enough. Decided to try this crock pot recipe and finally had success! This is the only way I'll be making meatloaf from now on.

This is the only meatloaf I make and everyone loves it. I use Italian bread crumbs in place of plain crumbs. Really good.
